Global Grant Scholar Letter to Rotarians
Global Grants Scholarship Program for 2022-2023 Academic Year
The Rotary Global Grants Scholarships is a scholarship program under the Rotary International Global Grants program. Global Grants Scholarships fund graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years.
Applicants must undertake international graduate study in a field that prepares them for service in one of the seven Rotary Areas of Focus.
Club presidents and Foundation Chairs are asked to take the lead in promoting this scholarship. Ideally, all club members should be able to be of assistance to their community regarding Rotary scholarships. It is the District Scholarship Committee's hope that you will read this letter and its enclosures carefully and then work with others in your club to take action to recruit and sponsor a student applicant. Clubs must be qualified to participate in Global Grants in order to sponsor a scholar. If your club is not qualified please refer the applicant to the district scholarship committee for placement with a qualified club.
Some key dates for selection of the District 5970 Global Grants Scholar for the 2022-23 academic year are:
October 15, 2021 - Candidates should submit a complete online application to the District 5970 Rotary Scholarship Committee by this date. November 15, 2021 - Applicants and sponsoring clubs notified of interview decision and schedule.
Mid- November to Early December, 2021 - Applicants will be interviewed.
December 31, 2021 - Interviewed applicants and Sponsor Clubs will be notified of the District Scholarship Committee’s decision on or before this date.
