District Club Support for Louisiana Flood Victims

I am asking each of your clubs to hold a "pass the hat" offering fundraiser during week of Aug 22 for our neighbors and fellow Americans in New Orleans.
 
We now see that there is great flooding going on in New Orleans and its suburbs and the information we have is that there are 40,000 homes that have been damaged as a result of the flooding.  To repair these homes, the existing drywall and plywood has to be removed promptly or else mold sets in and the building is ruined.  
 
This is an opportunity for our districts in Zone 28 & 29 to stand up to their well-deserved reputations.  There are 33 districts in our Zone group and we are coordinating a support effort to provide funding to the New Orleans rotary district.
 
Please ask your members to make a donation to help, and send all donations to John Last, District Exec Secretary, at the District Office to be forwarded on to the Zone effort.
