RE: PETS Registration

Team, the time has come for you to register for PETS.  Please read this message carefully and complete the registration process.  NOTE: there is a PETS registration, a Hotel registration and a bus “sign-up” for those of you taking the 5970 bus.  PLEASE read the information “Bus Transportation for District 5970” under the Hotel and Transportation category on the registration web site.  Send a note to Steve Boeke   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We are really fortunate this Rotary year in that the Rotary International President is Ray Klinginsmith from Missouri.  This has allowed us to “book” his attendance at OUR PETS and to hear directly his Rotary message and even get pictures.  This doesn’t happen often at a PETS meeting.  This is an opportunity.  You will not want to miss.  Additionally, we will also be having Rotary International Director Tommy Thorfinnson, plus other RI presenters, Mary Beth Growney-Selene and Jennifer Jones plus our own Iowan, nationally known marketing strategist and motivational speaker, Thom Winninger.  On top of this there will be numerous breakout sessions to help you make your presidential year a GREAT success.  And probably the greatest helpful experience will be the ability to get to know other presidents from our district plus presidents from adjacent districts.  It will be an informative, valuable two days AND make it a family weekend and come earlier and/or stay longer.  

Now for the specifics: Go to www.ncpets.org  and there you will find all the details.  When registering directly with the Hilton, the PETS dates (for the $99 rate) include Feb. 25-28, for those of you coming earlier and staying longer.  NOTE:  you need to enter the code ROT on the Group/Convention Code line.  Only Friday evening the 26^th is necessary if you are ONLY doing PETS, or traveling on the 5970 bus.  HOWEVER, if you explore the Airport Hilton Web page you might find some less expensive room rates (for seniors, Hilton Honors members etc. and under certain conditions, usually a longer than a one day stay). 

President-elects you need to come, current presidents, secretaries, help get your PE to register, and register yourself, and do so ASAP.  PEs,  invite others from your club to join you. This is going to be a Rotary event of the 2010-11 year and not limited to PEs.  NOTE:  If you are someone other than a PE, and AG you would register as a guest, presenter, committee or spouse, and SIGN UP for only the meals. This will cost you less.  PEs, & AGs are getting other things for their presidential year for the additional costs. By the way if you send a check as payment, rather than credit card, you will save the Multi-District PETS some money.
