November, 2018

Greetings!

Rotary Clubs continue be be a great source of leadership and shining examples of service to local communities and the world. Below are a few suggestions to consider.

Work with Club Leaders to earn 2018-19 Rotary Citation.  Why? Your Club will be better for having tried as you’ll do more good in the community and the world. And you’ll also have fun!  Here is a link to more information on the Rotary Citation.

Continue to create awareness about Rotary’s key role in eradicating polio and raising funds towards this cause which continues to pay benefits.

Rotary is the Best Kept Secret in your community! You can help by ensuring your Club Is posting pictures and stories about Club projects on social media. When you do, encourage your club to share with friends!  Follow District 5970 on Facebook for ideas and see what other Clubs are doing here.

November is Foundation month.  Feel free to reach out to District Foundation Chairperson, Don Meyer at foundation@district5970.org  or donald.meyer@wartburg.edu for ideas or to have questions answered. Would a speaker on the Foundation be beneficial to your Club?  If so, reach out to Don!

Have you visited the District 5970 website? Have you logged in as a member?
If not, please do so.  You will enjoy access to information about Youth programs, Foundation, Speakers Bureau, membership and more. Here is the link. Unable to find something or register as a member...contact District Executive Secretary, Suellen Kolbet at des@district5970.org or call her at 641-330-3118.  She enjoys helping her fellow Rotarians.

Where would your community and the world be if your Club never existed?  Think about this from time to time and do your part to make sure the Club evolves to serve your community for another 50 or more!

Finally, thanks for everything you do to better your community and the world! We are fortunate you are a member of Rotary!
