October, 2019

Greetings, District 5970!

It’s the season of Thanksgiving and putting into action all we can offer to our communities and the world.

One of the key themes of this time of year is promoting peace. As Rotarians, we are called upon to serve as good role models for our peers and the younger generation, as well as drive positive change.

This month, I challenge you to actively promote peace in your community through your words, actions, and activities. Recognize your fellow Rotarians for their acts of peace and encourage them to continue living this important tenant of Rotary. Watch your inbox for more tips to promote peace, plus fun fall activities that can help support vulnerable people in your community. Happy fall!

Congratulations, Zone Attendees!

The last week of September, Rotary scholars and leaders from around the U.S. convened in Kansas City at the Zone Institute for a week of education, communication, and innovation.

We’ve enjoyed seeing your posts and photos about everything you learned. And we’re enthusiastically watching to see what you do with all the knowledge and ideas you’ve brought back to your club.

On that note, have you tried the Rotary photo editor app POAPhotos? Designed by a Rotary member, the app works on iOS and Android devices and allows you to share and edit photos for social sharing. Remember to use the hashtag #PeopleOfAction Campaign when you share photos.
